Man and Woman arrested in Human Trafficking Investigation, Victoria Park Avenue and Danforth Avenue area, Images Released

The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of an arrest made in a Human Trafficking Investigation.
In August of 2023, members of the Toronto Police Service Human Trafficking Enforcement Team commenced an investigation into a historical Human Trafficking occurrence from 2013
It is alleged that:
- Through a combination of deception, coercion and control, the accused trafficked a female victim;
- The money earned by the victim was surrendered over to the accused and a large portion of it was kept by them;
- The victim had their on-line ads for sexual services created and administered by the accused, this include the taking of sexualized pictures;
- Illicit drugs were provided by the accused to the victim, and were used as part of her ongoing exploitation;
- The victim was transported by the accused to meet clients for sexual services;
- The accused also used an apartment in the Victoria Park Avenue and Danforth Avenue area for the purpose of human trafficking
On Wednesday, June 5, 2024, the accused were both located and arrested in Toronto.
Munawar Rajput, 51, of Toronto, was charged with:
- Procure Exercise Control of Person for Prostitution
- Live on Avails of Prostitution/Victim Over 18
- Advertising Another Person's Sexual Services
- Material Benefit From Sexual Services
- Financial/Material Benefit/Trafficking Person Over 18
- Procuring
- Trafficking in Persons
- Possess Property or Thing Obtained by Crime/Not Exceeding $5000
- Forcible Confinement
Nubia Letourneau, 56, of Toronto, was charged with:
- Procure Illicit Sexual Intercourse
- Exercise Control of Person for Prostitution
- Live on Avails of Prostitution/Victim Over 18
- Advertising Another Person's Sexual Services
- Material Benefit From Sexual Services
- Financial/Material Benefit/Trafficking Person Over 18
- Procuring
- Trafficking in Persons
- Administer Noxious Thing/Intent to Aggrieve/Annoy
- Forcible Confinement
- Uttering Threats/Death or Bodily Harm
- Intimidation by Threats of Violence
- Sexual Assault C.C. 271
- Possess Property or Thing Obtained by Crime/Not Exceeding $5000
- Unlawfully Possess Schedule I Substance
- Traffic in Schedule I Substance
- Unlawfully Possess Schedule I Substance
- Traffic in Schedule I Substance
They appeared in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Thursday, June 6, 2024, in room 402, at 10 a.m.
Investigators are concerned there may be more victims. Image of the accused have been released.
Human Trafficking means every person who recruits, transports, transfers, receives, holds, conceals or harbours a person, or exercises control, direction or influence over the movements of a person, for the purpose of exploiting them or facilitating their exploitation, for a sexual purpose or forced labour purpose. Victims can be any person, and can be moved across local, provincial or national borders. They can be coerced through violence or the threat of violence against family and friends.
