The Human Trafficking Unit hosted the 2023 TPS International Human Trafficking Conference from March 20-22, 2023. Over 500 attendees from all over the world participated in the 3-day event at the Sheraton Center Toronto. The attendees consisted of TPS Senior Command, politicians, law enforcement agencies, government and non-government organizations, private sector and various community partners. The inclusive speakers and subject matter experts were of several diverse pillars within human trafficking. The conference incorporated survivors who courageously shared their lived experiences, which made an impact on every single attendee. The event also exposed several new innovative technology platforms and tools to combat human trafficking. The conference manifested a wide range of networking and a collaborative effort in building solutions on the current issues. Overall the conference was an enormous success which brought the TPS Human Trafficking Unit as a leader in the combat against human trafficking.
